To celebrate Kirtland Air Force Base’s 75th anniversary, it hosted a two-day airshow on June 4-5th. It was the first time in 5 years that Albuquerque had an airshow, and the event attracted thousands of spectators. In between the scheduled flights, there were long pauses. There were lots of people being people: snacking, staying cool under plane wings, strolling, walking, and of course, standing around. I loved the sampling of humanity.

Raspados are shaved ices with flavored with syrups. Perfect for cooling off.

Like mother, like daughter.

Beads, binocs, and a big ice-cream cone.

Scorching sun with planes flying into the light. Yes, it’s bright on the tarmac!!
