I joined an ongoing photography project called 100 Strangers.
You can find out more about the project and see pictures by me and other photographers at the webpage: https://www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/
These are the portraits of strangers I made to challenge myself in building photographic confidence, expeditiousness and photo-journalistic technique. Along the way, I picked up a new lens, and two different fabric light reflectors. I don’t have an assistant, and I don’t live a densely packed urban area. I do want to be able to establish rapport with my subjects, and capture them in an honest and forthright manner with as little direction as possible to reveal their essence, and share the story from the encounter.
You can see the plain images here, as a gallery.
Here you can visit my personal set of 100 Strangers in Flickr, where you may read the narratives and stories, and any photographic details about the image making.
