Happy Valentine’s Day

Tonight’s sunset was glorious and deeply red. It was a pleasure to enjoy the brilliant sky as it deepened in color and wrapped around  Mt. Taylor.

On a technical note, I dropped down a few exposure steps because highlights kept appearing as blow outs on the  LIVE View screen.  After a bit of fiddling, I produced this image.  The lights from the neighborhoods in the North Valley speckle the black area of the silhouette. In the smaller-sized version of the image, they seem distracting. Blown up larger and viewed in a light-box styled window, the flecks of light don’t bother me as much; I decided against editing them out in Photoshop. What would you do?

Happy Valentine’s Day!
