Cathedrals in Yosemite National Park.

There are few chances to be “alone” in this very busy, very popular national park during peak season, such as Memorial Day weekend.  From the Upper Pines Campground, at 8 AM, I ran an errand at the nearby Half Dome Village General Store. Upon exiting the Village, vehicular traffic is forced onto a one-way loop to return to the campsites. Along the way I secured a single occupant car pull-out spot so I could enjoy a few quiet moments–alone–with this magnificent view.
