Las Vegas | Jason Woodside Painting
I’m a fan of urban art in plein-air. When it’s created on recycled materials, I like it even more. With this giant painted piece by Jason Woodside, I checked off both boxes. This was installed alongside the road near the 9th Street North Bound bus shelter on Fremont St in Downtown Las Vegas. Woodside created an optical play of color theory and pattern recycling. The painted surfaces appeared to be two stacked shipping containers. This modern statement personifies the character of Las Vegas.
