On the Sidelines

It’s soccer season again in Albuquerque. On the sidelines I sometimes see interesting people from all around the city, and even some from neighboring Indian reservations. I’m not always in a position to approach for consensual portraits. It is more possible to take candid glimpses and offer you the flavor of the place and time. That’s the sort of image in today’s post.

Game Protocol on the back of his T-Shirt says, “They Play, I Coach, You Cheer!”

This coach for a BoysUnder10 soccer team is not my son’s coach. He arrived before our game had ended. He was securing a foothold on open grass space near the playing field to warm up his team before their match. I know I’ve told you that ‘Burque is covered in tattoos. Here is an example of someone who is, too.
