Everglades NP | A Landscape of The Interior

In photography, much like in sales, it’s a good practice to look behind you for a lead. We arrived in Flamingo, the southern most tip of the Everglades National Park in Florida, right before sunset.  In order to reach the views of the ocean, we had to walk along a mosquito infested trail that I don’t see named on any park maps. I recall the name as the Guy Caruso Trail. It was a footpath with the ocean on one side, and the interior, as seen below, on the other.

The single palm tree reminded me of illustrations in the Dr. Suess childrens’ book, the Lorax.
