In Flamingo, Looking South

Everglades NP | In Flamingo, Looking South

The sun sets in the West, so the land edge I was standing on faced south. It wasn’t much of a view. It was, however, the southern most tip of Florida’s mainland, at sunset.

You can see that it is a quiet and underwhelmingly simple view of water and sky.  Once upon a time, there was a lot more lively activity from this view, because a dock would have been placed on top of those pilings. It is long, long gone.
