Since this was the big year of the convergence of Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah (an event that won’t occur for another 70,000 years) what better way to celebrate than going to Israel on a family visit. I brought my new Canon EOS 60D camera ( a holiday present) with me and took my first pictures with it. I still have a lot to learn and can’t believe how much I have forgotten about using a camera with manual settings. Here are my first food photos.
A sufganiyah (Hebrew: סופגנייה or סופגניה; plural, sufganiyot: סופגניות) is a round jelly doughnut eaten in Israel and around the world on the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. The doughnut is deep-fried, filled with jelly or custard, and then topped withpowdered sugar.
